Rhea Halfnight LeFlufy | Biography

Rhea has been working as an Indigenous Relations professional in natural resources and energy since 2008. She is currently working with Ascot Resources in B.C.’s Golden Triangle and brings a relationship-based approach to the company’s work with Nisg̱a’a Nation. Rhea is passionate about building respectful, meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships between industry and First Nation communities. Rhea works in facilitation, community engagement, Indigenous recruitment, educational outreach, permitting,

strategic planning, and policy development. Over the last four years she has helped Ascot Resources grow from an exploration property to a mine in the final stages of commissioning with the support of Nisg̱a’a Nation.

Rhea has a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Ottawa, a Certificate in Dialogue and Civic Engagement from Simon Fraser University, and is currently studying Nisg̱a’a language at the Wilp Wilo’oskwhl Nisg̱a’a Institute.
