Future Leaders Support Program
Program Overview
CIM is proud to support the next generation of minerals and metals professionals through the Future Leaders Support Program for CIM CONNECT 2026. This initiative is designed to encourage student participation, foster engagement, and promote knowledge sharing by helping offset registration, travel and accommodation costs for students attending the conference.
Eligibility
To qualify for the CIM CONNECT 2026 Future Leaders Support Program, applicants must be enrolled full-time in a recognized post-secondary institution (undergraduate or graduate level) in a STEM program.

Expectations of Recipients
- Attendance at CIM CONNECT 2026 in person
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following with their completed application:
- Letter of Support from a faculty member or academic advisor
- Proof of Enrolment for the current academic year
- Resume (two pagesmaximum)
Selection Criteria
Preference will be given to students submitting an ePoster and/or accepted as presenters in the Technical Program. CIM is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion and encourages applications from women, Indigenous Peoples, racialized persons, persons with disabilities, and other equity-deserving groups.
Deadline
All applications must be submitted by February 15, 2026. Selected recipients will be notified by March 15, 2026.
