Normand Mousseau is professor of physics at Université de Montréal, scientific director of the Institut de l’énergie Trottier (IET) and member of the executive board of the Energy Modelling Hub, a national organization funded by Natural Resources Canada. Expert on complex materials and biomolecules, he has also been working on issues relating to energy and natural resources for more than fifteen years. He is the author of several books on the subject including “Le défi des ressources minières” (2012) and “Gagner la guerre du climat. Douze mythes à déboulonner” published in 2017 at Éditions du Boréal. In 2013-2014, he co-chaired Quebec’s Commission on Energy Issues. In addition to numerous reports, he is co-author of the IET Canada Energy Outlook series, the second edition of which appeared in the Fall of 2021. He is co-founder and research director of the Transition Accelerator and he is a founding board member of the Canadian Climate Institute. He is also very involved in science-society communication. He intervenes regularly in the media. His most recent book, « Pandémie, quand la raison tombe maladie » was published by Éditions du Boréal in November 2020.
